The history of Real Skateboards begins with the two founders, Tommy Guerrero and Jim Thiebaud. The two skaters skated together every day during the 80s. Both pro skaters rode for Powell Peralta in the legendary Bones Brigade. Who didn't have a Tommy Guerrero Powell Peralta? At a certain point, Jim Thiebaud changed teams and joined Natas Kaupas to become part of the SMA (Santa Monica Airlines) team. The two went their separate ways, but the separation did not last long because at the end of the 80s Jim Thiebeaud, with encouragement from Fausto Vitello, convinced Tommy Guerrero to join them in the project of founding a new company that would last forever, a new flow for skateboarding that was changing in this way.
