Polar Skate Co. was founded by skateboarding legend Pontus Alv after his work with Clichè and Mad Circle in the early 2000s. After travelling the world, he returned to his hometown in Sweden in 2003 to focus on new projects, particularly skateboard filmmaking.
Pontus Alv became an acclaimed filmmaker with the skate movies "Strongest Of The Strange" and "In Search Of The Miracolous". Building on this experience, he launched Polar Skate Co. in Malmö around 2011.
