Deathwish Skateboards is one of the boldest brands to emerge in the new millennium. The brand was created within Bakerboys Distribution by Jim Greco and Erik Ellington, two pro skaters who rode for Baker Skateboards. At the time, the team had so much talent that a new brand with a different identity was needed. Deathwish was developed by Jim Greco with 1970s- and 1980s-inspired graphics referencing cult films from the era. Launched in 2008, the brand is known for its horror and cult-style artwork. The classic Deathwish logo was inspired by a 1970s film starring a legendary actor.
